Meet Julie
Hi, I'm Julie Jarrett—a 23-year-old creative from Simpsonville, South Carolina. I’ve always loved all things artistic, and I find so much joy in traveling, exploring new coffee shops with friends, and soaking in long, sunny beach days. I try to enjoy every moment of life.
My passion for photography began when I was just 7 years old, after my aunt gifted me a Crayola kid camera. From that moment on, I was hooked—constantly drawing, designing, and creating on any scrap of paper I could find. It was clear to my parents early on that I was born to be a creative.

My Mission
Why Joy?
Life brings its ups and downs, but I believe there's joy to be found in every season. Creating through photography and design has been a meaningful source of that joy—not just for me, but for those I’ve had the honor to create for. The word Joy means so much to me, which is why I named my personal brand Joy by Julie.
In 2022, while in college, I was diagnosed with cancer at just 20 years old. In that season, I had to choose joy in the midst of pain and uncertainty—and I found it through my faith. My relationship with Jesus gave me a joy that lasts, one that isn’t based on circumstances but rooted in something greater.
I also found joy in creating—expressing myself through art, photography, and design. That creative spark became both healing and hope, and today, it’s something I love to share with others.
I truly believe I was created to create—by the Creator of all things. Through photography and design, I get to live out that purpose while capturing stories, emotions, and the beauty in everyday moments.
